Tarpon Bay is an older neighbood in the Myrtle Beach area located off Forestbrook Road a little over a mile from Highway 501. This community is mostly single story brick ranch style homes ranging in size from under 1000 square feet to almost 2000 square feet of living space. If you are searching for an inexpensive home in the Myrtle Beach area, Tarpon Bay may be your best bet. First of all there are no Home Owner Dues. Secondly, the neighborhood is located West of the Intracoastal Waterway, so the insurance premium should be less. Lastly, you are not located within the city limits of Myrtle Beach, and the taxes should be less.
