Surfside Beach also known as “The Family Beach” is located just South of Myrtle Beach off of Highway 17. Surfside Beach was founded as the “Family Beach” in 1952 after changing hands several times prior. The “Family Beach” mentality of Surfside Beach grew more and more by increased police protection, improvements and insect and sanitation control.Surfside Beach Real Estate today is a much desired product of the “Grand Strand”, which is evident of the family style cottages and single family homes that stretch from The Holiday Inn North to Garden City Beach. Week after week during the summer season you will see families come together in rental properties stretching along these few miles of coastline.
There are a few area attractions in Surfside Beach, but mostly people just come here to relax and enjoy the beach. Many people enjoy the Surfside Beach Pier located at the intersection on Ocean Blvd and Surfside Drive. Many come to this pier to enjoy the Sun, Fishing, the arcades nearby and Nibils Restaurant. Also close by off Business 17 is “Legends in Concert”. Here you can hear some of the World’s best musicians imitated by excellent actors. Located just a little further South on Business 17, don’t forget to stop by “Wild Water and Wheels”.
The community of Surfside Beach is tightly wound by the “Family Beach” atmosphere, and is growingly mentioned to me by clients as a place they would be interested in calling home. atmosphere. There are also quite a few newer and several established neighborhoods on the West side of Highway 17 that many residents call home.
