New Homes On the Rise in Myrtle Beach

Prices and competition in the Myrtle Beach real estate market continue to move prices downward. Do we believe that the prices will decrease much further? We believe that the prices are near rock bottom, and that this winter will be the time for most real estate purchasers to get the best prices on a home or condo. A few communities in the Myrtle Beach area have recently increased the prices on their new homes communities. Those two communities are Emmens Preserve in the Market Common district and Seasons at Prince Creek. There are still some great bargains to be had in Myrtle Beach foreclosures and Myrtle Beach short sales.

Today, we received an email from DR Horton on some homes that they are preselling and building in Sago Plantation at Legends in Myrtle Beach. This neighborhood was traditionally homes built in the 400s of a custom design by local builders. Well, with the crash in the Myrtle Beach real estate market being in full effect, the previous developer optioned out many of the home sites to DR Horton. This affects the community in many possible ways. Buyer’s biggest concerns are that the homes in the community aren’t currently selling to anyone else. DR Horton is bringing some of their most decked out floor plans to the community for all Myrtle Beach real estate buyers to view and buy on spec.

DR Horton is building homes under $300K in the community with large square footage and options galore. The market for homes in this neighborhood is great, and now that nation-wide builder has come into the neighborhood this property should move. For information on homes available in the community, search through the available homes on our Sago Plantation page or call us at 843-267-4627.
