Little River is the most Northern point of the “Grand Strand” and borders North Carolina near Calabash. Little River is a quaint fishing village located just above North Myrtle Beach and right below Brunswick County, and Little River is also the oldest town in Horry County. This town is known for its relaxing atmosphere under the oak trees and the offshore fishing that is available. One of the sights of the day is to watch fishing and shrimp boats going out in the early morning for that day’s catch, with the sun coming up and the mist rising from the calm Inlet Waters. Little River is also know for is annual “Blue Crab Festival”. While you are in Little River you can find most of your excitement on the two Las Vegas style casino boats that leave port a few times daily to International Waters on pursuit of the ultimate East Coast Gaming Experience.

Traditionally, the town consist of smaller homes resembling a little fishing village. Times have changed in Little River as development has run rampant along the Grand Strand. Little River has grown exponentially with the development of housing and condo communities in the area. Much of this development has taken place over the past 10 years. Hading West down Highway 9 and over to Highway 57 you will find many single family neighborhoods with very competitive pricing. Little River also boasts some of the nicest custom home communities like “Plantation Harbour” or “Waterfall”. Over all, there are lots of option when considering Little River Real Estate.

Little River is also becoming a popular destination for condos located off of the water and around golf courses. You may find a condo with an Intracoatal Waterway view, but Oceanfront Condos are not an option in Little River. When considering Myrtle Beach real estate, many end up buying in Little River. You are within 30 minutes of everything Myrtle Beach has to offer, but away from most of the hustle and bustle.
