The Lake Shore section of Myrtle Beach is not actual a subdivision, but an area. This area consist of the properties West of Highway 17 Business and between 62nd and 65th Avenues. Most of these homes are older bring ranches with good size lots and mature landscaping. Many of the natives of Myrtle Beach choose this section of Myrtle Beach to call home, because of the great location and the nice beaches. Many of the homes in Lake Shore are 40-50 years in age, but some newer constructed homes can be found in the area.
The Lake Shore section of Myrtle Beach is less than a mile from the Grande Dunes Marina, Grand Strand Regional Hospital and the Carolina Opry. Homes in this community would compare in construction to many of the homes found in the Briarwood section just a few blocks North.
