    Homes along Garden City’s Beaches come in many shapes, forms and especially price ranges. Oceanfront homes to homes that are a few blocks back are used mostly as rental properties, with few owners establishing primary residences or second homes. Garden City is actually located in both Horry and Georgetown Counties, which is evident if you drive a mile or so South of the Kingfisher Pier. This Southern tip of Garden City is the area mostly affected by Hurricane Hugo in 1989, and since then has been rebuilt more beautiful than ever. Not all of Garden City is luxurious and expensive.
